This premium shape began as a custom order and became Something Special after studying the natural style and soul of Goldstrand rider April Matulich. Session after session over a few moons, I'd go into the shaping bay aiming to form a board to compliment her incredibly soulful and beautiful style. After the board was finished, I invited her to check it out and the moment was... "Something Special." With tons of volume and a little rocker and concave in the right spots, the Something Special offers easy gliding paddles with far more functionality and performance than many boards of the 70's era. I ride mine in waist high to overhead throbbing barrels. More and more riders are adding this to their quivers, offering wave catching ability and performance in any situation. I love the single(fin) life!
